  • Miss Nadia is an amazing music teacher who has taught me everything I know about playing violin. I started violin lessons with her at age 8, and she was able to teach in a way where I never felt unmotivated. Lessons usually contain theory, warm-ups, and repertoire. She also incorporated group lessons which made it even more fun and has music recitals to display what we have all learned. As a few years went by, Miss Nadia suggested I audition for the San Diego Youth Symphony. We prepared for a couple months, and she made sure I went to my audition feeling prepared. I was able to get in, and I have been with San Diego Youth Symphony ever since, re-auditioning every year. Music has been a big part of my life ever since I started lessons. Every now and then when I come across my old violin recital videos, I see how much I’ve improved in almost 8 years, and I couldn’t have done it without the help of Miss Nadia. Not only has she shaped me into the musician I am today, but she has always been the musician I look up to.

  • In the three years I studied with Ms. Nadia, I know I could not have chosen a better instructor. As someone who has never played an instrument before, Ms. Nadia's friendliness and attentiveness towards her students provided an enjoyable learning environment where musicians have the confidence to try new techniques. She corrects poor bowing, posture, and finger placements every time to ensure they do not become harmful habits later. I learned music theory and sight reading that helped me memorize and read pieces much faster. She chooses beautiful venues for her recitals, and it is exciting to showcase a years' worth of hard work to family and friends. I never thought joining the San Diego Youth Symphony was an option until Ms. Nadia suggested it. She saw potential in me that I could not, and without her, I never would have participated in such an esteemed and well-known program. In my lessons leading up to my audition for the symphony, she taught me the scales required to pass and chose a piece that pushed me to do my best. I was accepted into a higher level symphony group than I applied for, and it is thanks to Ms. Nadia's patience and support that I was able to accomplish it.

  • My daughter started piano lessons in January of 2022 and within 3 months was already reading music. No one in my family is a musician and she’s always wanted to learn how to play an instrument. Every instructor I came across didn’t seem like the right fit for my child, until we met Miss Nadia. She is very patient with kids and her passion resonates with her teaching skills. As a parent, seeing the connection and comfort she brings to your child says a lot. My daughter says her lessons are fun and she looks forward to learning new pieces each week, so much that she practices everyday on her own accord. It’s been 9 months since my daughter started piano lessons. My child's musical learning experience has improved a lot under Miss Nadia’s guide, her passion for music is growing immensely as with myself. Just by sitting in during her lessons, I’ve been able to learn how to read music notes which I thought was impossible. It has helped me engage more with my child’s practices. Ever since my daughter started her musical journey, she has broken more out of her shell and her growing confidence has ignited her to post videos of her favorite musical pieces she’s learned. My daughter has fallen in love with music and is looking forward to learning the violin with Miss Nadia in the future. We are immensely grateful and blessed to have come across Miss Nadia.

  • My daughter, Aimee, learned to play the violin and studied under Nadia Rodriguez for three years. During her first year, Aimee mastered the basics, followed by more intense training during the successive years, which eventually equipped her to join the San Diego Youth Symphony. Nadia is an accomplished pianist and violinist whose meticulous attention to detail encouraged Aimee to succeed by addressing various difficulties and challenging her with complex pieces. Nadia not only has the expert knowledge of training, teaching, and guiding her students, but her character, grace, and kindness give them the confidence they need to be their best. She played a pivotal role in my daughter’s life as an inspiration and positive influence. We are blessed and thankful for the support and dedication she continually exhibits!

  • My girls have had the privilege in the past years to have been taught piano and violin at the Rodriguez Music Studio by Miss Nadia. She is so knowledgeable, kind and patient. She pays attention to how the students learn and gives them techniques to strengthen the usage of their instrument so that they can perfect their skills. She truly has the heart for music. She is not only an amazing music teacher, she is also an exceptional role model for all her students. The way she perseveres and puts in the time and hard efforts to be and get better herself. She is also a beautiful young woman of God and puts Him above all things. She is my go to for a music instructor.

  • Rodriguez Music Studio is the perfect place to learn to grow as a musician. My daughter Nayeli started out learning piano at the age of 4 and is now also learning the violin at age 7. My son Ezekiel decided to follow in his big sister’s musical footsteps, and after dabbling in a few things Miss Nadia was able to help him find his love for piano. What makes Nadia so special is that she teaches her students to fall in love with the music. I can honestly say that Rodriguez Music Studio has been a huge blessing to my family.

  • I have been taking piano lessons with Nadia for at least 5 years. She not only has been the teacher I’ve worked with the longest, but my favorite. She is always patient with me and elaborates on things I need extra help with. She doesn’t only teach me how to play piano, but teaches me music theory and how to sight read as well. She explains things thoroughly in a way I can easily understand. I always remember and implement her teachings into my playing.

  • My son started piano classes at 4 years old. Less than one year later he has moved from 30 minutes of class to 45 minutes. Nadia is unique in her style in that the children start reading notes right away. Her positive reinforcement & encouragement motivates him to want to practice at home. My son, who is otherwise easily distracted, is able to focus because of Nadia's creative approaches to engage him with games and stickers/stamps, as well as her enthusiasm and laughter.

  • My granddaughter started piano lessons with Nadia so long ago I can hardly remember when it was! During her lessons, I would sit and listen and got a good idea of Nadia's teaching style. This was not Cailyn's first teacher so I was able to immediately observe the differences. Nadia was born to be a teacher of children. I've not met anyone as in-tune with kids, the children love her. Cailyn enjoyed her lessons and came on well under Nadia's tutelage. Especially during the COVID pandemic where she was able to take lessons via FaceTime. I know Nadia will do well in her chosen profession because she has a true heart for it and it shows.
